Questions About Mr. McGroovy's Box Rivets

USPS Express Mail details / Do you do overnight shipping?

Yes...and no. USPS Express Mail is 1 to 2 day delivery depending on your area. You can find out delivery time to your area using this USPS Express Mail Service Commitment web page. Punch in your zip code and it will give you the delivery guarantee for you area. I do not offer Post Office-to-Post Office delivery.

I will drop off your order at my local post office (220 SOUTH LIVERMORE AVE, LIVERMORE, CA 94550), by 10:30AM the next business day. The USPS Express Mail Service Commitment usually lists 5PM as the drop off deadline, however, 10:30AM is the first daily pickup time for Express Mail packages at my local post office. So if you order at 3:30PM on Tuesday, I will drop your order off at my post office on Wednesday by 10:30AM. If you order at 9:15AM on Wednesday, I will drop your order off at my post office by 10:30AM on Thursday.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Yes. All international orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail International, the most cost-effective shipping option for international small packages. I've found this service to be very reliable. Shipping takes from 6 to 10 days, but can vary due to having to go through two government run postal services.

Can I pay some other way?

How to order by mail with credit card or check:

  1. Print out the "Billing & Shipping" page of the checkout process. This contains the information for the items you want to order and your shipping selection.
  2. Complete the form with your name, phone number, shipping address, and credit card information, OR...
  3. Include signed & dated check for amount of purchase + S&H if choosing to pay by check.
  4. Mail order form & payment to:

Be sure to include your phone number where I may contact you for any problems with your order (e.g. poor penmanship). I promise I won't call for any other reason, and I will never sell your information to anyone, ever.

Can I order over the phone?

No. Sorry. I don't have a call center. Even if I did, I don't have any other employees to answer the phone, and I'm certainly not going to sit next to the phone all day. If you are having trouble using the online checkout process, please contact me and let me know. I'll get back to you within 24 hours (usually sooner).

Do you have a phone number where I can call you?

Yes and no. I have a phone, but you never know what kind of nut-cases there are out there who'd call at all hours of the night, and we've got sleeping babies at our house! You can send me an email and I will respond within 24 hours, but usually much, much sooner. Include your phone number and the best time to call and I'd be glad to contact you to discuss any problems, questions or comments you may have.

Can I buy these in stores?

No. Mr. McGroovy's Box Rivets are not available in any store. They are only available in my garage. As a matter of fact, you won't find anything like them in stores. Doesn't make sense, does it? When I set out to make my first cardboard castle for my son's fifth birthday party, I thought I could just run out to my local mega-super-giant hardware store and get what I was looking for. That mistake started me on a quest to find the ultimate cardboard fastener. Turns out it wasn't available, so I had to start Mr. McGroovy's!

Each piece is identical, and it takes two pieces to make one connection. There are 100 rivets per box, so that makes 50 sets.
